Hi! My name is Katie Duford and I live in Virginia Beach, VA. I have two amazing children named Grant and Grace and they were the inspiration for the name of my business. When I first had my son several years ago, my mother-in-law and I got the idea for burp cloths. I have been making them ever since as gifts for family and friends. People kept telling me that I should sell them and finally I am! I have expanded from burp cloths and now make blankets, letter boxes and all kinds of fun gifts for Mom's. I find that I am constantly coming up with new things to make and that is what makes this so fun for me.
I also make jewelry, paint wine glasses, make handmade letters and love every minute of it! As you can tell, I like to keep busy and find that making a wide variety of items helps me to stay inspired and not get bored. I love designing new pieces of jewelry and I find it so fun and rewarding to see people wearing my jewelry or drinking out of my wine glasses.
I have an amazing, supportive husband who helps to make this business possible for me. I would not be able to be home with our children and make this dream a reality without his love and support. |
